THE ROADMAP / WHERE WE’RE HEADED

Build thoughtfully.
Test locally.
Grow with evidence.

We’re developing a path from a working local platform to useful, maintainable learning infrastructure in communities. Each stage has a job to do before the next begins.

01
WORKING FOUNDATION

The learning platform

The local software brings together guided learning paths, interactive activities, resource management, teacher assignments, and locally held learner progress.

What this makes possible

A complete workflow to develop and evaluate: prepare learning, assign a next step, explore an activity, submit an explanation, and review the work.

Explore the platform
02
NEXT: SYSTEM VALIDATION

The whole setup

Evaluate target hardware and local networking alongside content, power requirements, installation, backups, and recovery.

What needs answering

Which configuration is practical to maintain? How does it perform with the intended devices? What power and connectivity preparation does the setting require?

03
PILOT PREPARATION

The community context

Work toward a scoped pilot with educators: identify relevant learning goals, content and language needs, onboarding, and local responsibilities.

What needs agreeing

A realistic budget, site readiness, resource permissions, safeguarding and data practices, and a shared understanding of how the pilot will be evaluated.

04
EVALUATE & ADAPT

The evidence to move forward

Observe use, gather feedback, examine learning work, and document practical challenges. Use those findings to refine the platform and decide what is ready to repeat.

What responsible growth looks like

Clear reporting about the setting, the evaluation approach, what changed, and what remains uncertain.

THE WIDER HORIZON

Different settings.
A shared access challenge.

INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION

Rural learning infrastructure

Planning materials explore rural schools, including in Sierra Leone, where a locally prepared learning environment could support access.

LEARNING CONTINUITY

Knowledge through disruption

The digital archive concept explores preserving access to learning in crisis-affected settings, including Palestine, with delivery shaped by local conditions.

DOMESTIC EDUCATIONAL EQUITY

Resources closer to home

Explore the needs of under-resourced and rural communities in the United States, where access gaps can also constrain digital learning.

These are planning directions, not completed deployments. Sierra Leone Children’s Fund, Engage in Palestine, and Aumazo are EmpowerEd partners. Specific deployment arrangements, budgets, and dates will be shared when confirmed.

THE WORK AHEAD

A more equitable future
needs people who build it.

Help develop the tools, prepare the learning, and bring the next chapter of EmpowerEd into reach.
